Matt is what you would call a "natural". After being shown the sport by friend and fellow KDGS member John Ziglar in late 2009, Matt has taken off.
Posting pars or birds on nearly every hole from pro tee distances, Bowers slams an occasional ace run in there as well. In the Halloween Howl
tournament he finished 3rd in his division and 2nd in the putting contest. Matt is a cool guy and always laid back and fun to play with. Of any golfer
in town, Matt has one of the smoothest backhand deliveries, using a sort of "Kung Fu" stance. His son Corwin joined up a few months after Matt
and the father-son duo finished 2nd in Thursday League doubles in early April, tying out-of-town talents Rob Bagley and Graham Russell with a
respectable -2. Not to be outdone by his cocksure offspring, Matt owns the record on Grand Canyon Caverns DGC's black tees with a
breathtaking -4. Shortly after his game reached it's highest point in AZ, Matt took a great opportunity to snag a killer job in the Rocky Mountain
State. He is still an integral part of our organization moving forward and has become KDGS' Colorado Field Operative. A great guy through and
through, Matt is one of the most valuable club members ever to grace the pages of kingmandiscgolf.com. He, along with several others, makes it
out for the annual Top of the Pines tournament in Pinetop every summer. Matt is "The Man", and don't forget it CDiddy! We salute you, brother!
